Our store began it’s journey in 1998 and is located on the original farm homestead founded in 1906.
We are known for being one of the top Christmas store locations during the Holiday season. So much so, we operate the months of November & December by reservation. But we do every season up in style! The store changes seasonally to capture the perfect trends year round.

History
Before our Country Store & Coffee Shop came to be, our history began with our entrepreneurial founder.
Spruce Park Ranch, as it is known today, was founded in 1964 by Les Trautman. He started his homestead growing crops and raising Hereford cattle. Today, crops are still grown, and cattle and Katahdin Hair Sheep are raised on the farm.
In 1998, Spruce Park Ranch Country Store was formed to keep up with demand for our local products. Today, it has become a tourist destination and local hot spot in the heart of Parkland County. The farm has even been honoured by the county and the province of Alberta for being an active farm, on the original homestead, for over 100 years going back to Les’s grandfather.
The store at Spruce Park Ranch is billowing with modern country décor, farmhouse style, seasonal decor, and supports many other local businesses and artisans. People now arrive from all over to add the perfect touches to their home, find just the right gift for someone special, or to just enjoy an experience as they travel Alberta.
